GARKANE ENERGY ANNOUNCES PRE-ARRANGED OUTAGE
11:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 to 6:00 a.m. Sunday Morning, October 26, 2008
Loa, Utah - Garkane Energy customers in parts of Garfield and Kane Counties will be without electricity in the late evening of Saturday, October 25, 2008 and early morning of October 26, 2008.  The pre-arranged outage is necessary to complete the conversion of the transmission line from Buckskin to Henrieville from 69 kV to 138 kV.
Unfortunately, this work can only be performed while the power is off.
Garkane customers west of the Henrieville Substation (Tropic, Cannonville, Henrieville, Bryce Canyon City, Hatch, Spry, and Cedar
Mountain) will be out approximately 6 hours.  The outage will begin at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night (October 25, 2008) and will go until approximately 6:00 a.m. Sunday Morning, October 26.
Please make any personal arrangements necessary in preparation for this outage.

Garkane expresses its apologies for the outage, but it is necessary to upgrade this line to allow more capacity in the area which will also prevent unscheduled interruptions in the future.
